Rambles from "Happy Buddha"

The Happy Buddha said...
This is something that I have really had on my heart for quite some time. And although I lack the eloquence to adequately explain my position, I will give it a shot.

We "must reconcile ourselves to our natural greatness." JP II's words caused me to focus on our worth. They are at the same time uplifting and humbling. Nothing I own, nothing I do, nothing I say can ever give me as much value as the simple fact that I am first a child of God.

In the same way that the very first and essential right is the right to life. If you are denied this right you can have no other. The first and essential value of the human person is that they are loved by God.

"I am wonderfully made."

Thank you for your thoughts which were expressed in a manner neither lacking in elegance nor adequacy!
